Keep your chimney flue closed when not in use. An open flue is the perfect escape for warm air in the house, resulting in the house not reaching the desired temperature.
When you're cooking lower the thermostat. When the stove is on it's not only cooking food, but it's also warming up the house. So lowering the temperature a few degrees will still allow your house to reach the desire temperature while saving you the extra utility cost.
Keep your thermostat away from lights and electronics. Lights and electronics (TV, stereo & etc.) produce heat, which can lead to your thermostat not functioning properly
Did you know having clogged air filters in your furnace could result in carbon monoxide fumes leaking into your home? This is why we recommend changing out your air filters at least every 3 months in order to maintain a healthy and happy home.
